We believe it’s not enough to invite people to come in but we need to go out to people just as Nano Nagle did in her day. It is said there wasn't a home in Cork she hadn't visited!

Following her example, we are developing an outreach strategy particularly to men, young and old, who can be prone to isolation and loneliness and less inclined to get involved in a centre.

We want to develop the Lantern as a friendly welcoming meeting place for men where they can share their skills and knowledge with each other and the community.
